Teeth Whitening (Bleaching)
Tooth whitening is applied to eliminate aesthetic concerns. Whitening treatment in teeth is divided into two home and office types. In-home bleaching, a transparent plaque is prepared with the measurements taken from the patient, and the patient is told how to apply it together with the bleacher. The patient applies this himself at home for 1-2 weeks.
In office-type bleaching, the whitening is applied to the patient by the dentist in the clinic and activated by blue light. This process takes about 30 minutes. As a result, the patient does not need to practice at home.
The consumption of coloring foods such as cigarettes, tea, and coffee adversely affects the success of the teeth whitening process, and patients should consider this before treatment.
